O'Reilly lets his hypocrisy hang out. |

Just flipped over to faux on commercial from KO and caught an interview with Geraldo Rivera (not my favorite person on the planet). He suggested that the Iraqis be allowed to vote on whether we stay or go. BO, of course, thought this was an incredibly bad idea. I guess democracy is fine as long as you don't have anything the energy companies can use to make a dime. I can't wait to see that ass choke down some crow on Wednesday.

Thanks for the reminder, that had to be one of TV's finest moments.

5. I met Rivera years ago and hurt his feelings.... |
|
He was in a local TV station newsroom I worked in at the time editing a piece he had done for his weekly ABC show. As I walked past him he jumped up and introduced himself (I already knew he was there and had planned my joke in advance). I looked at him and dead-panned, "Oh yeah, I used to watch you all the time before I discovered Morton Downey Jr."
I started laughing to let him know I was joking but he just stood there dumbfounded, staring at me. He really looked hurt.
LOL I just beat a quick retreat back to my workspace.
I still laugh out loud when I think about my brief encounter with that humorless, ego maniacal twerp.

The stupidest show I ever watched in my life, was his much-hyped break-in on Al Capone's private vault in the Lexington Hotel. He was all hyper about using dynamite blah-blah-blah, then Ka-Boom!--they entered the smoke-filled, filthy little room and found Capone's old beer bottles.
Sheesh, what a fool.

10. What does it say about the state of things |
|
when O'Reilly and Geraldo can speak about serious issues and people actually exist in this country who don't immediately snicker and guffaw at the absurdity of it?
