6. No problem. Occasionally, my brain turns to swiss cheese , too.
DUers usually bail me out. :-)

I haven't seen him in a while. I wonder where he's been?

7. Don't worry, I forgot my own name the other day.
Hanging out on Main St the other day with Tom Snyder (remember The Late, Late Show?) when a local woman who Tom had expressed interest in meeting walked by.

So I said, "Hey, Christine, I want you to meet a good friend of mine".

I drew a blank on his name (I have known Tom for years and see him every day).

So I think, "Hey, his name is the same as mine".

Another blank.

I said, "Hey, man, you're on your own".

8. If you are a friend of Tom Snyder...
How's he doing? God, do I miss that show. What a gem that show was, like no other. He had some great people on his show and I loved the back and forth between him and whoever was on. Please let him know that he is truly missed and that all of his fans wish him well.

9. Tom is doing fine.
His leukemia is in remission and he has recently turned 70.

But he hasn't changed a bit.

His mind is like a trap and his wit is as sharp as a piece of broken glass and every bit as jagged.

Tom has this Olde English Sheepdog named Trevor and they are virtually inseparable.

We spend hours a day solving the World's problems while sitting on a small deck on our little town's (Tiburon, CA) Main Street.

Tom is an amazing person, one of the Treasures of my life.

And he absolutely despises GWB and his puke Administration.

I wish that I knew how to post pics (don't try to tell me how, beacause I am not smart enough to even follow instructions) because I have some great ones of us.

I will pass it on, virgdem.

Tm

10. Oh how cool! I too miss Snyder's talk show, the conversation and his stories.
Glad to hear he's doing OK.

12. Thanks, I appreciate that.
I am very surprised to hear that he had Leukemia. Was he diagnosed after he left in 1999, or was that the reason he left the show. He never did allude to the reason as to why he was leaving. I'm glad he's doing well. I thought that his dog was named Oliver. Is Trevor a new dog, or did Oliver pass on to that great boneyard in the sky?
