Maher finally came out of the closet tonight! |

After watching Greenwald ,though rushed, still made his always excellent points.
But Bill, now a whole full blown liberal tonight. Whoa! When did this occur? He's sincerely pissed and is actually informed on issues and has done his homework and understands the nations true anger....as the show moved on... when the republican clown, who gets stomped on taking proven idiot positions every time he opens his mouth...Baldwin is as sharp as a tack...fucking good...and the woman...hmmmmm...too many shots of Anejo...
Maher always pretending that he wants a balanced show, calls himself an Indy, and often says he's playing devil advocate...never quite sure... Maybe it's his column in Huffington Post keeping his mind on politics...
But he knocked me out for a change...usually leaves me with a bitter taste with at least one of his positions...not tonight...Is this his last of ten shows for the year (on HBO).
Tonight there's no mistaking a hard core liberal in Maher...We were all hoping was really there, and there it was...
It is now "hip" in Hollywood to be politically aware, and "angry" with BushCo...and being a progressive, as even they, perhaps, see our rights dwindeling...
Anyway, I don't think Bill can ever go back to the middle after this show...still Hollywood people and politicans are the most fickle in our spieces.
Time for "New Rules"....gonna check it out...

1. Bill's just suddenly "liberal" because he knows what Wednsday will be like. |
|
The man still calls Ann Coulter a friend. He has no "moral compass", just a CAREER one.

and he has consevative elements. The true conservatives are as pissed at Buschco as we are and that is part of what you are seeing with Maher. In the old days it wasn't uncommen for political foes to be friends and I think Maher is a relic of that era.I notice Coulter hasn't been on for a ling time and I also notice most republican guests of late haven't been supporting Bush. But Bill Maher risked his career to tell the truth. and almost paid a big price for it. Remember he was punished before the Dixie chicks. I was just rereading an old George, JFK Jr.s magazine, on Maher, and how he was losing his following because he was too poltical.I think Maher is genuine.I don't necessarily always agree with him but he honestly says what he thinks.

2. The GOP neocons and true conservatives |
|
are revolting against Bush and his doctrines. Maher can join them.
The only ones left supporting Bush are the Jonestown type.

outspoken brashness and it was good, then he got burned by ABC, who hasn't?
So if unsure, why mess up a steady paying gig.
But HBO is in a different league it seems...I can understand why extremely liberal Larry David chose it, and last nights documentary, proved it to me...Bill always knows which way the wind is blowing, that's one of his gifts, as well as knowing (I'm sure) Tuesday is the most important election of all of our lives!
