1. .
Nice. Although MO and VA are so close and pretty much tied, it's good to seem them back in blue ;).
Sad to see the TN polls though. But of course, I'd gladly take the 51 seats.
240 House seats don't look bad as well ;).

2. That's nice...
So we can now have a Democratic House and Senate under the rule of a Dictator and child emperor who they say they will not do anything to bring to accountability and who can still go over their heads with signing statements and vetoes up the wazoo because he doesn't believe in Congress having power... no wonder he still smiles.

4. But Dems will have subpoena powers
Good things will happen once Dems control the agenda.

6. Subpoenas for what?
For those they subpoena to keep lying? To commence "investigations" that never go anywhere like the Plame investigation? What good is controlling the agenda when nothing good will get passed and you have to answer to Bush? Will he and his lying brood be investigated and impeached? Will we have universal healthcare by 2008? Will our public schools even get attention? Will we have a decent minimum wage hike by 2008? Will seniors get relief from Medicare D? Will we begin to truly address poverty in this country? Will they try to reverse the Patriot Act? The Military Commissions Act? Will they be able to take any of his powers away?

Will we end this bloody illegal war in Iraq and their PNAC agenda? Will the corporate /military alliance be just a memory? Will they still bow to the whims of lobbyists, especially concerning Israel? Will they even pass any type of legislation on climate change that isn't half hearted? I think these are all valid questions. I'm not just putting a vote next to a name against Bush just to get Democrats in for the hell of it... I want to see results, otherwise, I won't vote Democratic again. So they better be prepared to deliver this time should they "win" and not just use it to jockey for position.

I also don't want to spend the next two years just watching them go back and forth with Bush, I want Bush and his brood out so we can REALLY get something done. I fear however, that all we will hear about is war, and how everything they put up to Bush gets knocked down. I think it is only about waiting until the day after Tuesday to start positioning for 2008, and that means once again that the people are left waiting, and frankly I'm tired of waitng and being told to be patient and that good things will happen only to see nothing change regardless of who is in power.
