Cameras Show Army Recruiters Misleading Students
Colonel Says Incidents Are the Exception, Not the Rule

(Nov. 3) — An ABC News undercover investigation showed Army recruiters telling students that the war in Iraq was over, in an effort to get them to enlist.

ABC News and New York affiliate WABC equipped students with hidden video cameras before they visited 10 Army recruitment offices in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

"Nobody is going over to Iraq anymore?" one student asks a recruiter.

"No, we're bringing people back," he replies.

"We're not at war. War ended a long time ago," another recruiter says.

Last year, the Army suspended recruiting nationwide to retrain recruiters following hundreds of allegations of improprieties.

One Colorado student taped a recruiting session posing as a drug-addicted dropout.

1. That's Rummy's "new and improved" Army......
the lies start at the top and continue rolling downhill. Bush is the liar in chief so the armed forces think they have carte blanch to use any tactic they chose to keep the enlistment numbers up.

4. Stay in school. Get an education...
or you may end up in Iraq.

5. Army Recruiters never lie!
:sarcasm:

I've told Blogslut Jr. to watch out for those recruiters. I repeat that line from "Private Benjamin":

See, I did join the army, but I joined a different army. I joined the one with the condos and the private rooms.

Sadly though, this is not a light-hearted comedy, made during peace time. This is a real war. A deadly war and all enlistees are at risk of being deployed to Iraq.
