Why Are You Protesting Millie? “My absolute hatred for George W. Bush,”

About 70 protesters demonstrated against President Bush as his motorcade pulled up to Metra.

Some had traveled from Bozeman, Missoula, Red Lodge and elsewhere and spent several hours holding signs in a designated protest area at the corner of Fourth Avenue North and Main Street.

The motivation for Millie Carson of Red Lodge was simple:

“My absolute hatred for George W. Bush,” she said as she painted a sign that read: “Lies, Stealing, Corruption=Family Values.” Dave Henry, a Korean War veteran from Billings, said he was troubled by Bush’s policies in Iraq and toward detainees in the war.

“He’s destroying the Constitution and lying about it,” Henry said.

Two people dressed in orange frocks and black hoods knelt near the sidewalk with their heads bowed and hands clasped behind their backs.

“We have no voice, we have no rights to protest our confinement or abuse,” one of them said from under the hood.

So do resign as soon as possible. We really can't affor you any more. You can always say you'd like to "spend more time with your family."
