Have we come full circle with the Iraq War?

We invaded Iraq to keep Saddam from giving al-Qaeda nukes.
We post nuclear weapons plans on the internet, in a last ditch effort to show Saddam had WMD.

Sadly, instead of actually showing he had nukes, or was buying components for nukes, the plans gave away nuclear secrets to al-Qaeda and other anti-American forces.

And these plans don't weren't even new discoveries, because we found out about them in 1991.

Have we come full circle now?
