Maybe it's me, but it seems deathly quiet for a Saturday before an election. Is everyone holding their breath, hence the quiet?

1. I love the smell of desperation in the morning.
 I can almost hear the wicked witches of the GOP screaming as they melt.

I'm thankful for some quiet.

they are too busy with their cleanup on aisle 8 to worry about us right now.

3. The GOP managed media is somber..
Either that or the big guns are still asleep. Isn't Olbermann supposed to be on all day today?

13. It won't work. Saddam's trial is a big yawn, punctuated by
all of those judges and lawyers involved in the case who were assassinated.

I also think some Republicans are sleeping off the bender they went on last night after a tough week in the campaign.

16. No.
My phone has been ringing non-stop all week, and today is no exception. I don't take any of those calls; toll-free numbers and callers not identified by my caller-ID get to hear my answering machine. A few campaigners have left messages; most don't. Still, I don't use that phone for personal stuff, and it rarely rings under normal circumstances.

The calls themselves are a waste of time, in my case. I made my own decisions, without needing anyone's phone call to assist me, and voted last weekend.
