I have yet to be asked by any Republicans about the election, so I think that it is true.

1. Yeah, is their huge, organized army of footsoldiers a myth?
Or cover for the shenanigans they inevitably pull?

3. I Heard on one of the news shows
(can't remember which one) that their efforts were designed to get out the vote in the 30 or so districts where they thought there would be a battle. Since they designed this strategy, all hell has broken out in dozens of other districts where they never dreamed they would have to fight. If this is true, their strategy is deep in 30 districts, non-existent in others. I suppose it is possible to make shifts, however I think the breadth of the problem is going to tax their strategy. Hooray!!!

4. I think so. I know I'm sitting here all day making phonecalls for our candidate
in NC, and getting SUPER feedback. To me it sounds like some of the old Dems are coming back from their flirtation with the religious right.

I imagine that's what is going on in many places, not just my corner of NC.

5. S. Sekula-Gibbs-Jolie-Pitt's hiring temps here in TX22.
Edited on Sat Nov-04-06 04:14 PM by elehhhhna
What does that tell you?

They're also quitting faster than she can hire 'em. Catching hell from voters for $5.15 per hour? Apparently not worth it.

7. I don't think so. But I guess its entirely possible thei GOTV are overly-hyped.

The only thing we can be sure of, is that previous elections have proven that we can't allow ourselves to underestimate them.

8. Don't think so - they have been investing in
their "lists" for many more years - people like us were probably expunged a long time ago to focus on tru believers and Rethug likelies. In my GOTV phone stint today, my "list" still had quite a few Repugs.

9. Not only do I believe they don't have enough volunteers, but
I bet the Republican Party will become history after this election. The name "Republican" has become a "scarlet letter".

10. Remember, many of their supporters are turning on them
Would you volunteer for a party that has pissed you off totally? I wouldn't.

I have received 1 call for Robin Hayes (R-Delusional) and 3 for Kissell (D). I would have thought that it was the other way around but am really pleased with the way things are turning out.
