Might be more desirable then the free republic.com folks. I have heard and read about freepers for awhile here on DU and decided "what the hell...I'll check it out."

Those people are frigging scary my friends. I spent an hour reading through their stuff. All the ripping on DUers and Dems didn't bother me. But when people were talking about "Death by wood-chippers" for certain Dem traitors (no one person was mentioned) and discussing Nanacy Pelosi as worse then the "anti-Christ..." I had enough.

I am off to the shower now.

Like you said, the partisan sniping and over-the-top rhetoric didn't bother me. It was the unbelievable amount of hate and anger and contempt and intolerance and viciousness that made my skin crawl! It both frightens and disgusts me that people like that exist in America because they have no clue about what this country stands for and no appreciation for anything it represents. Their twisted sense of "patriotism" is destroying us all.
