What happens to a Representative Democracy when it is no longer Representative?

What happens to a Representative Democracy when it is no longer Representative?
Corporations get to directly write bills, do we have that right?

What about Bush Power Rangers, the wealthy now have access to Bush, we don't.

Bush/Cheney proudly admit they don't listen to polls, do they represent us then?

What happened to the "Representative" in Representative Democracy? And if it's gone, then what does that make the US?
