COLORADO SPRINGS - New Life Church released a statement Saturday afternoon forcing the immediate removal and dismissal of Pastor Ted Haggard.

In the statement New Life Church said, "We . . . have concluded our deliberations concerning the moral failings of Pastor Ted Haggard. Our investigation and Pastor Haggard's public statements have proven without a doubt that he has committed sexually immoral conduct."

They added, "We have decided the most positive and productive direction for our church is his dismissal and removal."

The statement also said Pastor Haggard and his wife were informed of the decision and agreed with the decision forcing his dismissal.

The decision is effective immediately, according to the release, and a letter of explanation and apology from Pastor Haggard is to be read during Sunday morning services.

1. Did he further revise his story? Last I read, it was a massage and thrown away meth.
Those two things are probably bad in the church's view but they don't constitute "sexually immoral conduct."

2. the great thing is, once people come to grips with this, they will
start to question the whole crappola that haggard fed them. It won't happen at once. It won't be tomorrow. Nor next month. But, over time, the whole Colorado Sprung evangelical mind control bit will start to fade like the moon when the sun rises. It can't happen too soon, though. What I really feared was how this group was infesting the Air Force Academy and brainwashing them to another leader - a religious one, not a civilian one.
