I'd rather be uncertain than certain
I just voted on my first touch screen voting macine. It all looked okay. My review page matched my votes. I hope it is counted.

I know of several people (one is my son) who are not voting because they are certain the elections are rigged and that the votes are not counted.

All I know is this, I'm not certain my vote will be counted, I'm not. But if I didn't vote at all, I'd be CERTAIN my vote wasn't counted.

I was gratified to see how many people were at the polls. We had to wait a bit, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. My husband voted for his first time as an American citizen and he voted straight dem. I've got a cold and a sinus headache, but I walked away from there feeling hopeful.

7. I agree, but I think we have some serious "mo" going into this...
...enough so that it SHOULD do one of two things:

1) we'll win, or...

2) if we don't win, it will expose the cheating apparatus once and for all (ultimately causing the disassembly of the cheating apparatus).

BTW, thanks for the Halloween package - it made my week!!!!:hi:

2. My Husband Agrees
he feels confident they are flipping votes. However, he knows that to just not vote would be giving up and he refuses to do that.

However, we currently have the option of the opti-scan ballots and touch screen. He chooses the opti-scan.

4. Smack your son upside the head and tell him we need his vote!
He shouldn't be such a defeatist. If voters vote in record numbers, they can't twist all our votes.
Congrats to your husband, and I hope you get to feeling better.

8. I've no excuses for him.
Believe you me, I'm all over him about it. On his salary, he cannot afford to put his wife and children on his insurance through work. It's ridiculous that he thinks it's okay to not vote.

My other son and my daughter vote at every election.

9. I was half-kidding. My d-i-l claims she won't be voting
because she doesn't feel informed enough, yet she has a disabled husband and a brother who recently joined the military. I e-mailed her and just mentioned that because of those two issues, she should be running to the polls and voting on specific issues. I can't harp on her, but just shared my opinion. I haven't heard back. x(
