17. My letter to the editor about Michael J. Fox

I grew up watching Michael J. Fox on TV and have seen a number of his movies, but only recently have I seen what a beautiful rare person he is. He has been kind, smart, fair, diplomatic, charismatic and shown incredible heart and determination when trying to promote his cause. He has not taken the bait and attacked back when others have attacked him personally, but instead he has reached out and respected both sides with incredible grace! He is showing us a civility that is rare and beautiful! He is an amazing, dynamic person, and I believe he will go down in history as a true American hero who turned the tide on stem cell research. I also believe his efforts which will eventually lead to the betterment of millions of lives and thus change the course of human history and the future of medical research!
