"Presidential Prayer Team" offers the most blatantly partisan "prayer"
2 days remain until the elections...Pray for all citizens to faithfully seek God’s will concerning candidates and issues…Pray for godly leaders to be elected on November 7...Pray for the President, rallying voters in Springfield and Joplin, MO today... later today he will travel to LeMars, IA...Pray for safety and protection as he travels...Mrs. Bush is traveling in CA and NM... Pray for her as she celebrates her birthday today that God's richest blessings will be hers...Pray also for President and Mrs. Bush as they celebrate their wedding anniversary on Sunday--for continuted (sic) strength in their marriage and for many years of blessing to come... Pray for a strong voter turnout on Tuesday…Pray for thousands more to sign up for the Pray the Vote Online Prayer Rally!

1. They won't have time to vote with all that praying.
Question for people who know more about Christianity than me: is it true that if you don't press your hands together and close your eyes, God isn't listening?

3. I'm still not convinced that isn't a parody site
It's soooooo far over the top you gotta wonder what the people think who put it together. Like they're all winking, nudging each other and chortling at how the dum dums are gonna eat this shit up as they read their prayers to each other.

That site looks way over the top. The praying hands logo, use of the slogan "pray the vote" which looks suspiciously similar to "rock the vote", and all the mentions of * are giveaways. It's a spoof for sure.

4. Well, I would think they would be praying for their Prayer Team LEADER to fall off the radar
...or the gaydar, depending: http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/local/article/0,1299,DRMN_15_5114718,00.html

"Pastor Ted" also is one of the most powerful Christian leaders in the country. As president of the National Association of Evangelicals and pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Haggard talks regularly with President Bush and wields almost as much clout as Focus on the Family founder James Dobson. ...Haggard is involved with Promise Keepers, a national men's Christian leadership organization. He's also a leader of the Presidential Prayer Team and the World Prayer Team, a real-time online prayer group.

11. God will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd. "
