Why can't the dems do this?
First I have to explain - I signed up with gop.com awhile back just to keep an eye on them

The GOP sent me a map to my polling place.
Why can't the dems be that proactive? Their whole email list probably got a map.

1. cause it is a wast of time
if you can receive an email map, you should be able to vote.

We can get more bang out of a real GOTV effort (get out the vote).

That gop map is a waste of money.

2. Half the GOP are ignorant coots who think Al Gore's internets are just a fad
I'd be surprised if they didn't need directions to their own bathrooms.

Democrats are already fired up and involved. If you don't know where to vote at this point, you're probably voting GOP anyway, along with the rest of the stupid people.

3. Is it just me
or do any others here have a problem with a political party keeping tabs on the exact location of a registered voter?

4. I have never understood while everyone with a home does not vote absentee.
It's so much easier and pleasant voting from the comfort of one's home.

5. Pirhana is right. We are not focused... not as organized
Dems are really creative and funny... but unfortunately have a serious problem with Attention Deficit Disorder... which goes hand in hand with a kind of scattered left brain creativity. Great to listen to, very lovely, compassionate, etc.... but totally freaking disorganized!

I just tried to work with MoveOn and our local Dems.. and found REALLY STUPID problems that prevented work from being accomplished. Like for example --MoveOn sent out at least six emails about a big local get-together for a get-out-the-vote ... for us to gather there to call voters at a MoveOn member's home.. and guess what.

NO FREAKING ADDRESS!!!!!

NO FREAKING PHONE NUMBER!!!!

NO FREAKING NAME OF ANYBODY TO CALL!!!!!!

THEN.... I did some groundwork and by luck found the person and their telephone number (how many people will do this?) and when I called and told her how I found her telephone number she called me "Nancy Drew"... whoever that is.... and I then got all the correct information and gave sent it to her, already formatted in an e-mail, for her to forward to MoveOn. Later she said she submitted it to MoveOn... but GUESS WHAT... MoveOn NEVER sent out the new information.

Crap!!!!

This is a really bad problem.

Really bad.
