What if the POWER goes out on Tuesday?
Does anyone know if the computer systems have a back up battery system? Would that mean we could vote on hand counted paper ballots?

No, I do not know of any attempt of widespread outages, just wondering what would happen if the power DID go out?

is just that i do not trust the machines. I am cautiously hopeful that we will have true numbers this time. Those who live near districts where the numbers are close, please volunteer to GOTV. The further apart the numbers are going in, the less chance for computer manipulation to occur. As far as whether the computers could handle a widespread outage, I doubt it, but am not suggesting that anyone do such a thing. Sure hope it doesn't happen now especially after posting the question. For the record, I am innocent! Oh and also, I am not Karl Rove either! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww please don't even kid me about that!

*Edited to change farther to further... not sure which one is correct really, and just really don't care for that matter :)
