Are gas price fixing & the fixing of the date of Hussein's verdict impeachable offenses? |
|
considering that both were timed to influence the outcome of the midterm elections?
Anyone with half a brain knows that Bush & his cronies have choreographed the dramatic drop in gas prices to coincide with the two full months preceding the elections.
If that's not obvious enough, the timing of asswipe Hussein's guilty verdict/sentencing date, 2 days before the elections, should be enough to convince even the dumbest of dumb conservatives that the timing of all of this is a total setup with naive fools like them in mind to take the bait as always.
Are either one, or both, of these staged events impeachable offenses? It's not that we need anything else to impeach the mother fucking coward for, it's just that there are SO many impeachable offenses it's going to be hard to choose which one to throw the book at him for when the time comes.

2. Not unless it is bribery, treason, or high crimes and misdemeanors. |

Guess you could argue that it is a crime against the state in that it is a use of state power to manipulate the outcome of an election, but then you'd have to impeach every president, and every other political official as well. Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea...
If you could prove it, though, you could probably press charges for fraud after he leaves office.

3. Gas price manipulation has probably taken place in '00,02, 04 and '06 |
|
there's evidence that refineries sold gas at narrower than normal margins during the last months of each election year. But that doesn't mean Bush had a direct role in that process. The Bush agenda is BIG corporation friendly and has no interest in collecting royalties, enforcing environmental regulations, etc. It's very likely the Corpos manipulate gas prices on their own in their own interest.
