Iraq is not a civil war?
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Shiites poured into the streets of the capital to rejoice at the death sentence for
Saddam Hussein, but the former dictator's fellow Sunnis paraded through his hometown chanting, "We will avenge you Saddam."

1. You know the Republicans might have fucked it up again...
not only will this cause the Sunnis to go batshit insane, it is happening as a result of their "November Surprise."

They are so fucking incompetent, they can't even get their X Surprises right.

2. Personally, I think Bush is counting on this.
Bush wants Iraq to break out into complete and utter violence. It will give him an excuse to start bombing, even start talking about dropping nukes again. It will also make it harder to pull our troops out. It's his way of retaining some power over the troops in case the Congress goes Dem.

Filthy, vile beast. Bush should be the one being sentenced.

3. The Religous Freaks Aren't Blameless
Bush isn't entirely to blame that nutjob religious factions decide to kill each other. What Bush did was remove a rather brutal dictator that kept them under enough fear so they wouldn't dare start a religious insurgency. Left to their own devices, now the different sides have decided to cram each other's religious bullshit down each other's throats. What may be a war for oil for Bush is a war for religion to a lot of Iraqis.

It's sick and it's sad that anyone would think their religion was important enough to slaughter other people for, but that's exactly what they're doing. They are killing each other. Sure, they can vote. But, what do they vote for? They voted for a religious statehood. Like, no one could see that could possibly fail, that there might be more than one religious ideology in a country of millions? Or, ever consider it doesn't allow people to be non-religious? It makes for a whole lot of unhappy people. And, some of those unhappy people are so hell-bent on their religion trumping the next guy's, they go ahead and kill the "next guy". It's pathetic.

If the Baptists suddenly decided to kill Mormons, and vice versa, I wouldn't have an ounce of compassion for either side. Frankly, I'm fed up with religious zealots at home and abroad. It isn't a tragedy in the sense they are innocent - it's a deliberate, stupid, pointless, waste of life. Bush is a dishonest f***ing idiot that lied his way into war, but that doesn't excuse religious factions taking it upon themselves to kill each other after voting to live under religious law. Nice democracy you got planted there, Dubya. Ya happy, now, Big Guy?
