John McCain: Breaking Faith with His Fathers
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 10:48 AM by CorpGovActivist
My partner and I wholeheartedly agree with Andrew Sullivan's observations this morning about Senator McCain's backstabbing of John Kerry this week. Whatever tiny shred of integrity McCain had left - after carrying all that water for BushCo. in the last two Congresses - he surrendered this week.

We voted for McCain in the primaries. I was at a campaign event for him in Boston on the eve of his upset victory over Shrubya in New Hampshire in '00. Many of my friends and I campaigned for him, donated money, etc.

Moving into the '08 cycle, I will actively make the argument that Senator McCain's autobiography, Faith of Our Fathers, should be updated with a new title: Breaking Faith with My Fathers.

Next time I'm on the Hill, I plan to turn in my copy at his office, counter-inscribed.

Senator McCain's friendly fire - aimed at Kerry - will have blowback with independent voters. McCain's friendly fire will do more damage to his own candidacy than to Kerry's.

5. I hope you're right about the blowback.
McCain definitely deserves it. I plan on seeing John McCain hugging Bush pics all over the '08 ads. He's going to regret it and stabbing Kerry in the back was a really slimy move on his part.

Kudos to you for returning his book! That's a great message to send McCain.:)

6. I Don't Need It Cluttering My Bookshelf...
... nor do I care to donate it to my local library. I'd be afraid some kid would buy into his propaganda, without understanding what McCain has done with his life since he wrote it.
