Did this happen anywhere else? |
|
Sorry if this was already discussed this week, but I was out of pocket the day this happened.
The day of the Falcon III sweep, there was a police "checkpoint" near my house. They had those electric, programmable signs up that said "Show driver's license and proof of ins". The local police were stopping everyone and checking licenses and insurance cards. It ticked everyone off because it caused a big back-up of traffic on a busy two-lane road. They set it up at a place where you couldn't escape the traffic once in it.
I thought it was something to do with illegal aliens at first, but then I got back to the computer and heard about Falcon III.
Do you think this was related to the "sweep?" I've never seen a "checkpoint" like that in the 16 years I've lived here.

2. They do that here to make sure that cars are registered properly. |
|
Nebraska has such a high tax rate that people register their cars in Iowa and South Dakota. So every now and then they have checkpoints to ensure that they're squeezing every last damn penny they can out of us.

Is a nation-wide round-up of sex offenders with warrants for arrest. Or practice? :tinfoilhat:

6. A 24-state "sweep" for wanted people |
|
Falcon stands for "Federal and Local Cops Operating Nationally". Thom Hartmann talked about it on his show, and he said it gives him the creeps. He says it's either a publicity stunt for the election, or a "practice" for a coming big sweep to gather up "undesirables". They swept up around 11,000 people this time over three or four days, apparently. The news stories stress that these people are wanted criminals and sex offenders.
The "checkpoint" near my home just gave me a creepy feeling.

7. No but something similiar |
|
my husband and nephew were ahead of me, and I was behind them to sell my car to my brother....We were stopped by the Dept of Trans here in tx. Seems they were doing a survey and were only stopping the first three or four cars at a time, one way. They asked my H his destination, where he lived, etc...It was just a few men in orange hard hats, but a trooper happened to be there as well.
never in my 43 years had this ever happened to me.

8. It's here: Show me your papers! |

Without a Constitution that made this illegal, we are all going to have to carry ID just to walk over to our neighbors, let alone drive anywhere.
How long till they begin stopping pedestrians to make sure they have permission to be where ever they are?
