CNN ought to run a program called "Our Broken News Media"
Right now we have on MSNBC something resembling a Republican telethon. CNN has sweet Lou Dobbs having a "dialog" on illegal immigration (a typical Dobbs "dialog"). I won't even go to Fox.
The majors NBC, CBS, and ABC, have nothing on.

It sucks so bad sometimes that I can relate to the days of the cold war when Russia only had Pravda and Izvestia. We're not very different.

1. Actually, I LOVE the idea of "Broken Media" on CNN ...
No need to do much research, etc. Just get Blitzer, Hahn, Carol Lin et al to sit around and discuss on camera how lousy they all are at their jobs.

2. Today's Baltimore Sun column points to ELECTRONIC MEDIA as being to blame
for pushing Bush's lie about Kerry in order to cover up the bad news on Iraq. I think they also did it because Hacking Democracy was going to air and they needed to demonize Kerry QUICKLY.

3. Yes, but it would have to be in the format of a confession and
'mea culpa'. I don't think Wolfie, Crowley and Co. are ready for that much humiliation and truth telling.
