I went twice to the Worth (ILL) Township Democrat Party headquarters. Locked, closed, no bodies there. Left notes under the door. No contact.
Then again, this is one of the redder parts of the state. Bush carried this part of the state in 04 by 20%. This year, you can't find one W sticker.

6. Just back from calling...

I called all the Dems in my Harris County Texas precinct (I am a Dem Precinct Chair) then spent several hours calling neighboring precincts through True Blue.

I spent about an hour calling through MoveOn, but the system was really s...l...o...w this afternnon for some reason.

I am hearing impaired, but I often do very well on the phone, especially with my amplified phone. But my first two attempts did not go well, so I am abstaining, because I figure I will do more harm than good.

Dems -- some were supportive, some were receptive, many hung up on me. Like the lady said at the HQ, when I warned that I was not good at that stuff, "none of us are." Made me feel better and helped me to keep on calling.
