Last night Sam Seider said he thinks Lieberman is in trouble
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 03:20 PM by Quixote1818
He was discussing Lieberman attacking the New York Times. The reason you attack the NYT is to get republicans to vote for you. He had heard the Republican support was soft for Lieberman and no one is going to work to get the vote out. He thinks a lot of these Republicans when in the booth will have a hard time actually voting for Lieberman and will vote for the Republican or just stay home.

I think the fact that it's about a 10 point spread going into the election is a bad place for Lieberman. Republicans won't be motivated to go vote because they will think Lieberman is safe. We could see a surprise in CT.

On edit: Also, Dems are very motivated to vote him out!

1. Could I be that fortunate?
I want that more than winning the lottery. And I really want to be a millionaire with no actual effort.

2. I hope Sam's right ... it would send a CLEAR message to all
those complacent DINO incumbents: Better listen to your constituents lest you be voted out of a job. Oh, I hope Lieberman is sent packing come election day. ;)

5. Oh please let it be so!
I just watched a replay of his debate with Schlesinger (Lieberman couldn't be bothered). Ned has just gotten better and better. And Schlesinger is attacking Lieberman and playing up his Republican ugly credentials, especially his demogoguing on immigrants. That oughta get some RWers to vote for him!

6. I tend to agree....
Seems to me that Lieberman has had Big Media puffing up his campaign. But I won't be shocked if LaMont ends up winning this race. Lieberman has soft Democratic and Republican support. Both voters could well have 2nd thoughts when they get in the booth and make their choices. A few points taken from both groups put Lieberman in big trouble.

Go Ned!

9. They might remember that he ran with Gore. Just like many of us
remember that Gore chose Lieberman as his running mate... and find it hard to forgive.

16. Actually,
only the democrats that voted in the primary voted him out. It seems that given the choice, the entire population of the state wants him.

17. Says who? The TV pundits? The paid shills? The manipulated polls?
No one really knows for certain, do they? I think the assertion that the "entire population of the state" wanting him speaks volumes...

15. I still agree with Sam's earlier prediction
that Lieberman is re-elected.

That Rumsfuck is finally forced to resign as SecDef.

That Joe is appointed to replace him.

And that the Republican governor appoints a Puke (Shays?) to replace Joe.
