Tell me that this is just a weird coincidence.

Friday night I watched TV Evangelist James Robison interview "ex-gay" Christian singer Kirk Talley.

The gist of the interview was Robison, who I might add relentlessly touched the corner of his eye so as to suggest that he was doing his utmost to prevent tears, asked Talley how Christians can help stand by Talley and Talley going on at length, his voice always on the verge of breaking, of what it felt to having his homosexuality exposed and being ostracized.

I had a gut feeling watching this on Friday night that Haggard had already confessed and this was a preemptive attack, to prepare the followers of what was coming down the pipe. IMHO there was nothing coincidental about this staged interview with Talley, the friggin Evangicals were stalling till they could prepare their flocks, in fact I belive that they probably have always had a plan in place should something like this ever surface.

Haggard is going to get the cure and suddenly be an X gay?

Hmmm. Interesting.

Although, with five kids, wouldn't that kind of label him as bisexual?

Or what do I know? Not much, really. But I'd think so.

6. Talley said he didn't get cured but that it is a day to day
struggle not fall back into sin with the help of Christians who love him and are willing to see past his sin. The shoe is now on fellow Christians to call on deep reserves of compassion.

4. Hard to say
After all, it's election season (a.k.a. "all 'gay agenda', all the time"-sermon season), so it comes at a peak period anyway.

5. Well, Haggard RESIGNED on Thursday. The horse was out of the barn by Friday.
The story broke WEDNESDAY, with pathetic DENIALS, so a Friday interview wouldn't be unusual.

After Pastor Ted Haggard went public Wednesday night denying allegations of a homosexual affair, senior church officials told KKTV 11News Thursday evening, Pastor Ted Haggard has admitted to some of the claims made by a former male escort. The church's Acting Senior Pastor, Ross Parsley, tells KKTV 11 News that Pastor Haggard has admitted to some of the indiscretions claimed by Mike Jones, but not all of them. http://www.kktv.com/news/headlines/4557411.html

8. But on Wednesday the prostitute had spoken. Haggard was playing defense.
The purchase of sex was OUT there. His denial was that he only wanted the massage and the meth.

The story had legs, even with his denials, late Wednesday. It gathered steam on Thursday, and was full-blown by Friday.

The investigation took minutes to do, was done by Saturday, and some asswipe was reading his "I have sinned" letter on Sunday.

A five day story.
