The latest Field Poll, released this morning, shows Debra leading her Republican opponent, appointed incumbent Bruce McPherson, by a 40% - 34% margin.

1. Bruce McPherson is hoping for a low voter turnout, he already said it out loud
"I think the turnout will be relatively low, i hope i'm wrong" Yeah Bruce sure we got the message loud and clear.

3. Diebold will have something to say about that.
I would love to see every POS election equipment made by these a-holes put on a barge, hauled out to see and used as a Naval gun target

5. Now there's an idea I hadn't thought of! And I'll bet more than a few
sailors--and other pissed off military--would love to do it! They and the Iraqis have suffered most from Bush Junta crime.

6. Californians have a penchant for putting opposite party candidates into
the down ticket state offiices, like Sec of State. That's one reason to hope. But these are not normal times. We've had pretty much a Diebold coup here in California, and a very focused effort by the fascists to turn this "blue" state "red," against the will of the people. DEBRA BOWEN winning Sec of State is critically important to staving off rigged elections here.

Bruce McDiebold was appointed by Schwarzenegger to undo all of the election reforms of our former Sec of State Kevin Shelley (who was driven from office for suing Diebold, demanding to see their source code, and decertifying some of their voting machines, after the Schwarz/Recall election, and six months before the 2004 election). And that's what McDiebold has done. The Sec of State's office in unrecognizable any more as an advocate of the public interest. Wholly owned subsidiary of Diebold et al. If Bowen doesn't win, expect to see some more really weird Bushite "wins" here (as in the Recall, and as happened in the CA-50 special election, recently).
