| Posted November 5, 2006

Appearing on Sundays Chris Matthews Show conservative columnist Andrew Sullivan spoke about the sworn testimony of the Mark Foley investigation. Foley has admitted to having inappropriate relations with teenage pages, and the House Ethic Committee is investigation whether Republican House Leadership properly addressed the problem. House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) and former NRCC Chairman Tom Reynolds (R-NY) have both been accused of ignoring or covering up information about Foley, but today on the Sunday talk show Andrew Sullivan added a new name.

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:

Sullivan: "The sworn testimony in the Mark Foley House Ethics Committee investigation is proving that Hastert, Reynolds and Rove knew full-well about Mark Foley for years."

Matthews: "Rove?"

Sullivan: "Rove, yes, because Foley didn't want to run again and Rove talked him into it."

2. It's becoming danged clear that the GOP took the "family values" voters for a ride
Does anyone know if this is actually getting through to the 'family values' voters??? Cuz the only two I know still cling tightly to Bush and they get 'upset' if anyone picks on him.

5. We always knew this - Rove and Bush have book on EVERY Republican.
Remember that Poppy Bush ran operations in Nixon WH where he had blackmail material for memebrs of his own party that they would use to assure their votes were with Nixon's policies.

I doubt those operatives woke up some day and decided to stop blackmailing their own party.

12. Karl Rove's real math must be pretty bad looking if he was willing...
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 05:36 PM by originalpckelly
to take the risk of Foley staying. I mean Foley was in a Republican stronghold, if Rove was worried about that seat going, he must think it is a really horrible year for the Republicans.

"The Math" is looking bad! HAHA! FU Karl!

20. New Low -- Rove Buys Votes with Young Boys
Some "genius."

Lies, cheats, steals, and pimps other people's children.

Who's to say the pages were the youngest victims he "factors into" his power-grabbing?
