3. The house is a shoe-in. The senate, on the other hand...
...is anyone's guess (although I'm pretty-sure we'll take it, as well).

4. Long Time, No Matcom .....
Nervous ? ....

:puke:

Not me .....

My take: We will win the House, squeak to a slim minority in the Senate ....

Split government is a positive development for America .... Funny how that works ...

5. I'm looking about as good as I get, LOL....
Nobody is going to win for another ten years unless we have something pretty close to a political revolution. Baby steps, I guess.

6. the pew poll is freaking me out, how could we have lost 12 points in 24 hours?
has dems generic up by 4 and washington post has us up by 6 but with gerrymandering we need a bigger margin than that.

Seems like yesterday we were up by as much as 16.

damn

what is happening?

13. I Saw Those Two Polls... I'm Waiting For Gallup And WSJ-NBC
I thought Democrats were supposed to be excited...

If they are why is there a discrepancy between registered and likely voters...

I won't say more...

24. I don't get that either. Also, the Time poll was taken during the same time
as the Pew poll and had a large sample and we still got a huge lead there. I don't understand the discrepency.

17. Don't fall for it.
Consider it an outlier, and an excuse for the Corporate Media to portray this thing as a horse race.

NO race tightens by that much that quickly. It would have taken a 9/11-level event to swing the numbers back like that.

Did that happen? No. Just the opposite - a viciously anti-gay Fundie preacher admits to taking meth and having sex with a male prostitute.

This poll is an aberration. Take a deep breath and wait for the reputable pollsters to weigh in.

9. Nervous sums it up . . .
The great, backward state of Missouri could actually wind up with a Dem Senate seat.

'Course . . . all us bluefolk are going to have to vote.

It's supposed to be 70 degrees and nice on Tuesday.

Keeping my shaky fingers crossed . . .

11. Relax, everybody!
You know in Star Wars I, when Liam Neeson's character is dueling Darth Redface or whatever, and they're separated by a laser beam, Darth paces nervously while Neeson takes a knee, rests, and contemplates his Jedi navel. That's what we ought to be doing now, rather than driving ourselves nutzzz.

14. Gulping Zantac.
Everything could go right.......everything could go wrong.

Hopefully, prayerfully, beseechingly more will go right than wrong.

It's also unlikely an asteroid will strike the earth on Tuesday or that there will be a major volcanic eruption in the continental United States. So we're good. We're good.

16. Relax, matcom! Here's why...
We will win the House, no worries there.

As for the senate, we stand an excellent chance. Don't bite your nails over what happens in Tennessee or Connecticut, because it all comes down to Montana, Virginia, and Missouri. If we take these three (and we are leading in all), we take the senate! Also, remember undecides often break for the challenger at the last minute, and that is good for us as well in these races.

18. frickin worse tension than there's ever been
i'm nervouse too, but it may be just a shell shock from 2004.

The 'fundamentals' are with us. It's the American voter who is the question mark. Will republicans sit on their hands, and will Democrats come to life to win this thing?

Looks . . . better than good.

20. Well my feeling is this......If we win great I am not expecting it!
The fact that there is enough information out there for people to realize that the scum bags are CORRUPT CORRUPT CORRUPT and any race is as close as it is and that over 90% of these schmucks are going back to Washington to keep on doing the same things.(And I don't know that Dem congress is going to really be all that different) Well it just says alot about how uninfromed Americans choose to be. THEY DON"T WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH THEY AREW HAPPY IN THEIR IGNORANCE AND THEY EXPECT THEIR REPS TO BE JUST AS IGNORANT AS THEY ARE.

21. Very nervous!
About a week ago I was in cynical "I'll believe it when I see it" mode. No high hopes. No expectations, but then this past week, everything just seemed to break in our favor. I dared to hope, and for that reason, now I am very anxious. It's easier to be a bitter cynic than it is to hope.

22. A GOP victory would seem incredulous
The only question is are they stupid enough to try to steal it.

Note: a GOP victory is defined as holding on to both Houses.

23. I'm looking a bit tired, but that is to be expected. It's good
to be nervous. The best way to fight the nerves is to get busy with a local GOTV effort. Or you can do what I'm going to do: get slack-legged drunk.
