"Signs" of desperation in Texas-- "Encourage Terrorists – Vote Democrat"

Sign Campaign Draws Angry Reaction From Fort Bend Democrats

by Bob Dunn, Nov 01, 2006, 11 08 am

Some Fort Bend County Democrats are angry over a two-man sign campaign underwritten by Republican Andy Meyers, Precinct 3 County Commissioner.

Democrats say messages on some of the signs crossed a line and are offensive. Meyers said the signs were intended to put the local Republican Party on the offense instead of the defense.

The first sign, which appeared near early voting location Macario Garcia Middle School in Sugar Land, said "Encourage Terrorists – Vote Democrat." Another, which appeared near Fort Bend County GOP headquarters on U.S. 90A, said "Want More Illegals? Vote Democrat!"

<snip>

Meyers explained that he decided to create the sign campaign along with political consultant James Pressler because he was concerned that his party’s local candidates have been on the defensive, and he wants people to know the consequences if Democrats get into power. The Democrats’ national stance toward security, taxes and immigration prompted the idea for the sign campaign. Also, Pressler said the intent was to find something to help counter the “Had Enough? Vote Democrat” campaign.

<snip>

Apparently these signs are still up.

1. I'm a Democrat...
and I confess, my favorite terrorist is George W. Bush!

(That sign? Totally stupid.)

To be honest, I'm seeing a lot of "Had Enough? Vote Democratic!" signs around here and I'm loving it!

2. When Bush caved to Bin Ladens demand in 2003 and "Cut and ran" from Saudi Arabia
The following text is a fatwa, or declaration of war, by Osama bin Laden first published in Al Quds Al Arabi, a London-based newspaper, in August, 1996. The fatwa is entitled "Declaration of War against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places (Saudi Arabia)."

What was Bushes post 911 response to Bin Ladens demand the US leave Saudi Arabia? He left, quietly.
Tuesday, 29 April, 2003, US pulls out of Saudi Arabia:

Bush caved to the terrorists and cut and ran. He didn't want distractions when he attacked Iraq.

so much confusion everything becomes a wash. Democrats and Republicans? Good and Evil? Eh, it's a wash. Better let us handle it. We know best.

6. Ahhh, yes
Those sneaky terrorists. They sit around all day and wait for encouragement from American elections. I can hear one of them now:

"Shhh! Stop making IEDs! Nancy Pelosi is on Harball!"
