A referendum on the intelligence of the American people

We are in trouble. This election can bring a much needed correction to the lack of checks and balances if we the people, and by that I mean all American voters, vote in a way which restores balance. Do people even see how much trouble our country is in? Do people understand that right now restoring checks and balances is more important than party affiliation? We have lost credibility, and if we do not find a way to control the excesses of the current situation, I am afraid we will never get it back.

I hope the American voters are smart this week.
