Food for thought from firedoglake Re: Lieberman
"Can anyone explain why, in a year when the GOP is struggling to finance all those house races, all their donors have maxed out to Lieberman (to the tune of about $20 million now)? It's awfully important to them that he retain this Senate seat."

Just in case any of you still think Lieberman will caucus with the Democrats if he wins....

1. HOLY SHOT! And while Schumer wouldn't give ANY MONEY to Lamont from DSCC.
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 08:06 PM by blm
This is just disgusting. Schumer HAD to know that withholding financial support and Democratic commitment from Lamont would screw over every Democrat who voted in the Dem primary.

The DSCC took our money and withheld it from our Dem candidate.

Fock Schumer.

2. Joe is the firewall to the good 'ole boy network.

There is the Party and then there is the network. Network over Party. There is a lesson to be learned here. I'm still not convinced that LaMont loses Tuesday...if he does, we can thank the DSCC for putting a professional friendship before the voter's choice in CT. If Joe wins and holds the Party hostage for his vote, we'll have Chuck to thank.

3. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Lieberman's been acting scared - on the verge of crazy scared - and I think he may know something that we don't (like, his numbers aren't really that good.)

Anyway, I'll be at the polls from 7am - 8pm doing my part.
