Anyone think that tomorrow's surprise will be the firing of... |
|
Rumsfeld? Just wondering.

That'll probably happen in the week after the election - under the guise of Rummy 'spending more time with his family' or some such.
If he cuts Rummy loose before the election, it would be seen as further weakness and would only serve to piss off the base even more.

7. Dragon-bitch DID make him apologize once... |
|
IIRC, it was about the fact that 'mistakes were made' during the non-response to Hurricane Corrina Katrina. Who, if anybody, made these mistakes was left unclear. :eyes: But you're right..."I'm sorry" was NOT part of the script.

This Donald will someday get his due... but it's not going to be tomorrow. Perhaps his fate has been pre-determined to be much MORE Severe!!

8. I hope so. That would cut GOP turnout by 10% at least. |
|
The infallable one, Truthless Leader, could not possibly admit a mistake of that size right now.
If he could, it would be so demoralizing.

20. OK, somewhat off subject, but |
|
My husband and I were talking about this. He follows the tv news closely and I'm a net rat. However, neither of us have seen or heard a mumbling word about who would take Rummy's place when he's dropped off the boat. No discussion, no names floated, nada.
The creep isn't going to last another two years; so who's the schmuck that'll have to deal with the mess he's left on the rug?
Powell and McCain are the obvious names, but I don't think Powell wants another serving of crap and McCain's under the impression he has a chance at a presidential run so he probably doesn't want to be tainted, so who ...?
