Why I see every race breaking for Democrats..... |
|
Pay no attention to polls.
Do not be stressed about this election, I predict right here right now (and I will accept all level of profanity publicaly and privately if I'm wrong) that the Democrats will win both houses.
I know I'm right for one simple reason: motivation.
Folks who would ordinarily vote Republican are feeling unmotivated.
They will not even go vote.
Rejoice!! America will make amends!

1. Not to be labeled a "concern troll," but |

Reading all this shit about robocalls in various states is getting me nervous, on top of the Saddam verdict. I'm not worried about the voting machines, so much as I am worried about suppression tactics.

I am really really trying to stay positive I swear, but I am truley terrified!!! The shit that these people will do, the lengths, that they will go to, is frightening. Karl Rove has been WAY too quiet. The machines are toooooooo easy to hack. All that I can do now is vote, and pray. :scared:

There is a confluence of factors swirling about here. I predict that Dems take the House and Senate, and that many of the wins will be by bigger margins than the polls are predicting.
I agree with you about the Republicans being unmotivated. Many of the neocons, the Reagan Conservatives and the Evangelicals are ticked off and unenthusiastic about voting for Republicans this time. This will translate into very low Rep turnout.
The Dems are WAY motivated. Many are running to the polls, simply to cast opinions against the war and against BushCo. This will translate into very high voting numbers for Dems.
Furthermore, many are predicting significant Dem wins. I think many Reps--some of whom are unmotivated as it is---are convinced that the Dems are going to win anyway. This will cause more Reps to stay home.
Also, most polls are trending toward Dems. As people firm up their votes, they are deciding Dem more than they are deciding Rep. Many polls reflect this--and this is awesome news.
I truly believe that we will have the House and Senate--and that Dems will handily win many races that are tight.
It's party time. Italian style.

4. I agree, that it comes down to motivation ... |

... and it's not just the fact that those who would vote Republican or not vote at all are not feeling compelled to participate.
It's the fact that Americans are PISSED OFF - and that includes Democrats, Greens, Independents, and former Republican voters - and NOTHING motivates more than out-and-out anger.
A voter who is content with the status quo tends to say, "Let everybody else sort it out. I'll just stay home and watch TV."
But the voter is who acrimonious is truly motivated to go out there and give the people he's upset with a piece of his mind via a vote.
I am confident. It's not just Demoracts who want change this time -- it's the majority of the American people.
