Fix the slashed sign as best you can (or better, replace it) and if you notice the opposition's has been treated poorly in retaliation, fix it as best you can too.

On my drive home, there's a stretch of road (South Virginia St. between South Meadows Pkwy and Damonte Ranch Pkwy for those of you in this area) with some of what little farmland remains in the Truckee Meadows (Reno and Sparks, Nevada), and along the fences of both properties there are a few dozen political signs. Saturday, I noticed some coward had destroyed Dina Titus' signs, left all the others alone, and put up at least one new larger Jim Gibbons sign. Tonight, I noticed a sign that had already been put up for Gibbons had been damaged in retaliation. You know what, I am above this kind of behaviour. As progressives, we ALL should be. Tomorrow, after class, I'm going to the craft store, buying some popsicle sticks, and fixing both Titus' slashed signs and Gibbons' damaged sign. Tomorrow, I encourage all of you wherever you are to do the same. This cannot be allowed to be the level of political discourse. I will not stoop to the level of the sign-smashers, I will rise above it, in broad daylight and not in the dead of night like those cowards. I will not "cut and run."

1. Don't waste your time on that stuff, instead, make phone calls for your
candidate.
