Keith Olberman AND Joseph Wilson shootin' the shit over at FDL!
I can't believe DU hasn't gone apeshit over this!
Here's a gem of a quote from Joe Wilson (in reply to KO):
Thanks. All I did was what Americans do every day, challenge my government on its shit. It would have been a three day story except for the reaction of the administration and its subsequent actions. Orwell once wrote: “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” We should see this in that context– the universal deceit foisted on the country by these clowns. I hope we can turn them back on Tuesday.
If there is a lesson from our experience it is that one can survive and indeed thrive in opposition to our government. Our goal is to put the fear of the people back into the government and take fear of the government out of our society.

2. My favorite Question for KO and his answer:

Pachacutec @
75 Keith, did Ann Coulter have that Adam’s Apple at Cornell?

Keith Olbermann says:

I love KO......

3. Oh no! Stephanie Miller will be crushed!
Keith said:"And my girlfriend has forbidden me from marrying Stephanie, although I am permitted to defend her honor."

Poor Mama! :silly: I hope they break the news gently... lol

It'll be funny to hear her on her show tommorrow morning...I cracked up when I heard her refer to the "Estrogen Brigade" at the Democratic Underground....

13. Crap!
I didn't get a chance to listen to Stephanie this morning, except for the last 10 minutes! Did she mention anything about this? Rats, rats, rats! lol

And hello from Rain Central! :hi: Wonder if you guys will get this downpour in CA, too... Lots of local flooding. Hope the creek behind us doesn't overflow!

14. Mama did mention it this morning- she was bummed he has a grrlfriend but like we predicted, didn't
seem deterred that he has one - just that the wedding is off and that she can still have her honor defended :loveya:

And she credited someone from DU having emailed her to tell her!

Regarding the rain - I sure hope we don't get it....and the flooding...I'm already dealing with my share of crap from our Dec. 31st, 2005 flood - we sustained over $500K in structural damage and I'm currently having to rebuild our house. The house was recently framed and now they have to put the roof on - so rain is not a good thing until the roof is on. Watch your creek closely and find reference points of how fast they are rising per hour....you'll know if its going to flood, especially if you have bands of rain still coming...Good luck...I'll be sending you lots of good Prana your way. One bad thing ofcourse about rain on election day is how many people don't vote then.

16. Oh my goodness, you know I totally forgot about that!
I hope that your house doesn't get hit with any flooding! :( You know, I'm a transplant here from the east coast - I tend to think that Seattle is like my backyard, but I forget how varied the terrain is. Now that you've mentioned that, I remember watching the coverage on NWCN about the mudslides closing highways last yr, and how people were trying to save their yards and houses. That was awful!

I will keep you in my thoughts today, and hope this rain moves on to where it is more needed. And I will definitely keep an eye on the creek! Thanks for your concern!

And kudos to whoever sent the email to Stephanie! (I didn't have the heart to do that!) lol

9. Thanks, I read the entire thread and was only disappointed
...that so few people acknowledged and engaged Ambassador Wilson. (The quote in the OP was a reply to KO.) Keith was great, though. He writes just as he speaks, intelligent and witty. I could almost hear his voice as I read his replies.

The other night I heard that a special comment was in store, and I wanted to make sure the TiVo had “Countdown” on the to-do list. I had to take the remote away from my 9-year-old to do it–as he saw what I was doing, he said, “He’s a hero, isn’t he, Mom?” I agreed.

He doesn’t use that word lightly, and neither do I.
