Enough is enough!

This Tuesday millions of Americans are going to be at the polls, making decisions that will directly impact the direction the United States will take in the next several years.

In many ways this is a referendum on the success or failure of the Bush Administration and its enablers in the Senate and House of Representatives. The people need to decide if we're willing to continue on the path of what is turning into an eternal war of attrition in Iraq, a war with questionable justification and no real plan for success.

We will also decide if we're comfortable with handing the power to declare people unworthy to even be granted the protections of the U.S. Constitution if charged with a crime.

We will also decide if we find it acceptable that we've gone billions of dollars into debt into a country that is not only an old ideological 'enemy,' but has the potential to become the greatest economic powerhouse the world has ever known. I'm speaking of China, of course.

We're going to go to the polls to decide whether it's okay to silence questions from the public about the agenda of this administration by calling people traitors or accusing them of "aiding the terrorists" by doing so.

We're going to decide whether the Republican economic model is really one that works for our country. Whether stripping our children and grandchildren of the chance to succeed so the rich can get richer is really the way we want to go. Whether we can accept that rich people can get the best health care in the world while millions of other Americans are denied even the basic preventative care that they need to remain healthy.

Speaking for myself, and millions of moderate to liberal Democrats out there, we're hoping we hear a resounding "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" from the electorate.

And you know what? I'm betting we will.

So go out and make it happen.
