OMG, Bush just convinced me the Democrats want terrorists to go free.

Then again......he could be just LYING as he always does and taking Democrats' position on the war and mischaracterizing what they've said and we would be idiots to believe his LIES against the whole Democratic party. Wouldn't we?

Robert Parry:

>>.
“When al-Qaeda or an al-Qaeda affiliate is making a phone call from outside the United States to inside the United States, we want to know why,” Bush said. “In this new kind of war, we must be willing to question the enemy when we pick them up on the battlefield.”

Referring to the capture of alleged 9/11 conspirator Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Bush said, “when we captured him, I said to the Central Intelligence Agency, why don’t we find out what he knows in order to be able to protect America from another attack.”

Bush then contrasted his eminently reasonable positions with those held by the nutty Democrats.

“When it came time on whether to allow the Central Intelligence Agency to continue to detain and question terrorists, almost 80 percent of the House Democrats voted against it,” Bush said, as the crowd booed the Democrats.

“When it came time to vote on whether the NSA should continue to monitor terrorist communications through the Terrorist Surveillance Program, almost 90 percent of House Democrats voted against it.

“In all these vital measures for fighting the war on terror, the Democrats in Washington follow a simple philosophy: Just say no. When it comes to listening in on the terrorists, what’s the Democratic answer? Just say no. When it comes to detaining terrorists, what’s the Democrat answer?”

Crowd: “Just say no!”

Bush: “When it comes to questioning terrorists, what’s the Democrat answer?”

Crowd: “Just say no!”

Bush: “When it comes to trying terrorists, what’s the Democrat’s answer?”

Crowd: “Just say no!”

5. We Americans are known to enjoy TV Dinner politics
Complete with bumper-sticker slogans and a good vs evil slant. Well, 37% of us or so anyway. The simpler the better. I bet if George could get away with it, the slogan would be "Dems bad. Terrorists bad. You vote."

6. I know a few "terrorists" I'd like to see on trial VOTE TUESDAY...
and take the day off to make sure others hit those polls and we can impeach one of the "terrorist" bastards and then maybe give him a taste of "military tribunal" for crimes against humanity, other high crimes and treason!

18. I wish the answer was a resounding YES, but "strategists" fear going that route.
and have instructed Dem leaders to downplay it.

I dislike the Dem strategist class.

They're too busy scrutinizing tapes of Democrats looking for dropped pronouns.

13. Howard Stern covered this with soundbytes of Hitler
Last week on the Howard Stern show, Robin was reading the news and they played a sound clip from this particular rally. While they were playing it, one of Hitler's speeches was also playing in the background to represent a comparison. It was nearly identical except for the german / english.

16. It MUST be true.
First, the President said it. He never lies. Even as a child, when he chopped down a cherry tree. Second, it was on TV. Everything on TV is true.

We've been led astray by these dangerous demoncrats. Thank goodness that President Bush has the noble courage needed to walk us to safety.
