When GOP is doing GOTV calls in MY COUNTY... |
|
they are sweating bullets. NEVER happened before as far as I know.
Sure, lots of push poll calls, automated info-mercials and other demonstrations of how the Cheap Labor party even outsources their campaigning, but GOTV calls is something new.
Eastern Montana. The GOP isn't taking it for granted this year. They are worried.
We use paper and pencils here too. ;)

1. You don't really use pencils, do you? |
|
Years ago I voted in a local election that did use paper and pencils. I freaked out and asked the "election assistant" for a pen to replace the pencil. Lord knows how many votes were erased.
We've gotten GOP GOTV calls too, quite unusual for mid-terms here. I hope they're sweating bullets.

2. eastern MT also, can confirm OP |

Also, noticed that gas prices for much of the fall were lower here in this region of Montana than anywhere else in the state whereas they are usually higher than elsewhere. and yes, push polling galore as never before here, the caller IDs are of course from outside the state (bastards don't even hire any Montanans for this work)
and got pen (not pencil) and paper in absentee voting

3. Hell, I live in Missouri, major battleground state this year |
|
And I've never registered as belonging to either party. Consequently my mailbox has been full to the brim for the past two weeks with poltical flyers from both parties. Seriously, I went out and retrieved the mail Saturday and hauled in literally a pound(I weighed it) of political flyers. Since I already know who and what I'm voting for, it all gets the quick once through and goes into the recycling bin.

6. Do check for any GOP mailers asking for donations |
|
and enclosing a postage paid envelop. Recycle by stuffin as much of the junk mail (remove your address first) into their envelop and have them throw it all away for you ;)

7. No, it's all paper and cardboard ads, no return envelopes |
|
I think that the GOP wised up to that trick here in Mid Missouri years ago. Back in Reagans day many college students took to taping those envelopes to bricks and dropping them in the mailbox.
