Upstate NY robocalls advising Dems polling place has changed
My husband heard it on the radio drving back from Home Depot this morning. They've gone through the 400, 500 and 600 exchanges, we are 800.

If one comes through I'll let you know, but the gist of it is the robocalls say please be advised that your polling place for Election Day has changed, and they give some non sensical place to vote. Remember, this is the WOODS, and one wrong turn and you could be lost for a month.

6. Please GOD RECORD THESE CALLS!!!!
Your evidence may be needed in a court case against the Republicans. When you have received these calls play find a way to record them to your computer.

Is your answering machine tape or digital?

We need those calls you may be able to help a strong case against the Republicans, they are breaking the law!

9. None of those yet
here. I just waded through the messages from Eliot, Wes, Cuomo, unions. The only one about a polling place said to call 1888 DEMVOTE (3368683)

This is something the Weeney Sweeney camp would do, they are getting pretty desperate.

23. Meaning the first 3 no's of your ph no..
Mine starts with an '8' - making me in the '800' exchange.

When he heard it they had whittled through nearly through 600's and that was about 3 1/2 hours ago, seems they would have gotten to me by now...but maybe not.

We already called the County Dem's, plus adjoining counties...

(Warren, Saratoga, Washington, Albany)

and they seemed to be aware of it or were too busy to spend a whole lot of time on it. But my money is on the former, as it was on the news already.

area code 315 - I'll have to check with her - but it would be interesting to see if they called there because she is a registered Dem but if I had to bet I'd bet my brother-in-law is registered repunk, although he isn't voting for the freaks.... hmmmmm

24. In my youth we lived
north of Utica, almost in the Adirondack Mountains. Once my mother did take a wrong turn and drove for some miles when somebody stopped her to let her know she'd somehow gotten onto a logging road that ended in Canada. Probably some lumberjacks who took one look at her and took pity on her.

Actually, the road would have ended at the St. Lawrence River (this is before the Seaway), but still. . . .

26. The Robocall suspect has been indentified; via DKos.
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 04:10 PM by meuniermr
It would appear that we have a probable suspect. We do not have conclusive proof that this is the perpetrator. However, attorneys, journalists, etc. are urged to investigate further. If you want to call these people and tell them what you think, keep in mind that you may reach a secretary who is only an employee and has no power, so be polite, don't use cusswords or other bad language, and keep your message concise and to the point.
