Greg Meeks (D. NY) looks like he might just get re-elected to the 6th Congressional District of NY!!!

That's because this district usually goes 95-100% of the vote for Meeks or the Democratic candidate, followed by the Working Families Party, Liberal Party, Green Party and the Socialist Workers Party.

The Republicans's results in my district are usually listed as "negligible" or "blank scattering." This year they didn't even bother to run anyone here.

BTW although he is a quiet congressman, Meeks has a stellar voting record on Womens' reproductive rights, Haiti issues, health care, unions, and despite being a former prosecutor against the death penalty, and above all he voted against the Iraq War on the first resolution when many Democrats supported Bush's war of choice and recently voted against the Military Commissions Act.

1. The Republicans are the
4th place party in my district - after the Dems, Working Families and Greens.

3. Isn't NY the greatest!
I hope we join you with a dem this time. We have been working hard in NY20 to kick out Weeney Sweeeney, architect of the Brooks Brothers riots in FL in '00. Kirsten Gillibrand is a great candidate and the polls now have her ahead by 3pts. This district was dem until the lines were redrawn and most R's here are libertarian tyupes, old Rockefeller republicans.
