Repug GOTV is strong in Muskogee Oklahoma
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 03:56 PM by sazemisery
Man on major street corner with sign reading: CONSERVATIVES VOTE REPUBLICAN. I couldn't resist so, with cardboard and Sharpie, I made up my own sign and stood next to him. My sign read: AMERICANS VOTE DEMOCRAT! He was not pleased.

5. Up til not to long ago they voted in **pencil**
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 04:41 PM by rainbow4321
My sis lives in Rogers County, Oklahoma and we were comparing voting boothes, etc..
She said that it wasn't too long ago that their county's voters used pencil and paper to vote and then just handed the paper over to the poll worker.
How f'n scary is that?? And how many erasers did the local repukes go thru as they "counted" the votes??
Now they use markers but there is still little privacy while voting. No boothes, anyone can look over another's shoulder, etc.. as they write on desks with nothing blocking someone's view.
She is a Dem and her spouse is a hardline repuke. She's learned to vote during the day while he is at work.

7. Well done!
Can't wait to do visibility GOTV tomorrow. We are also doing precinct checking (making sure registered Dems have voted).
