Do you think that bush will work with the dems if they win or..
will he pretend as though he is. What will he try to do? I think that he will play some type of game like he did when he asked for the former Secretaries of Defense that he asked to come to the whitehouse. I also believe that he and cheney will try to involve them in some type of scandal unknowingly, I do not trust these crooks...

6. Cheney said that he would not answer to a supenoa..
so I guess that is a answer to that question. Bush thinks that he is god or a king and he thinks no one can tell him what to do...

13. He can't work with a Republican congress, so there's no hope with a Democratic one.
He's a tin pot dictator in human clothing who doesn't know how to build consensus. Someone should start a pool now to set the date when his head explodes or he attempts to declare Marshall law.

14. there is a scene in State of Denial
Where Bush talks with Gardner after Gardner returned from Iraq (he was the guy they fired to put in Bremer). Bush goes up to Gardner and says: "the way I see it, I can be out there on the law with the press kissing their asses, or I can be on Capital Hill kissing the asses of Congress or I can come over here and kiss your ass." (words to that effect)

So, with a loyal GOP Congress he considered talking to them to be "kissing ass" so I don't think he's going to give a shit about who's in charge.

As Card said in the book, its all about Iraq. There is not much for Congress to do about Iraq (except investigate the shit out of it) so when it comes time for Bush to get something he wants, he'll be pissed and mean and he'll go to Fox and say "those damned dems."

(Which is why I think the most visible Dem investigation should be war profiteering. It's an issue I think will piss off Americans "our boys are over there without armor dying and Halliburton is ripping us off?")

15. Bush doesn't play well with others.
And certainly not with Dems!!! This will be a living hell for him, that is , if he had a conscience, but the constancy of the Dems demanding to know the truth, desiring accountability and oversight, well, all of these things will absolutely just bring out the very worst in little lord pissypants. And since he is too stupid to just resign gracefully or run off to Paraguay as rumored at first, he will have major big meltdowns for all the world to see, so I am getting my big popcorn kettle ready, cuz this will be good, but the bad news is that if he doesn't choose that route, well, then it's time to invade another country!!! Come on Down!!! Or, hey let's round up all those snotty Democrats and put them in concentration camps, cuz "I'm the decider, so I'm gonna decide, alright!"

23. Hell no!
I don't know where I read it, probably Newsweek or New Yorker, but the repub congresspeople were complaining that this was the most isolated administration that they have ever had to work with. Whereas, other presidents have regularly invited the congressional leadership to the the WH, this one has not. Me thinks we're in for one helluva hissyfit from Chimpy for the next 2 years (if they don't haul him off a la "Hannibal Lector" first).
