How I avoided politics this weekend.
After I finished door dropping my last neighborhood Saturday, I decided I was done for another 2 years. I went home and had no interest to see the news about Bush* and his occupation, the deaths that he blames Kerry for, the low approval ratings he blames Clinton for, and the House on the verge of turning Democratic he blames the terrorists for. I'm tired of the Beauprez commercials, the gay bashing tweakers who hire rentboys, and Marilyn Musgraves obnoxious pink dress!

So I decided to escape from all of this horror that 6 years has brought us, if only just for a while. No Iraq, No Diebold, no Bill Maher, no Colbert, no Wolfie, or Cavuto for that matter. I didn't care how Saddam's sentence was going to be spun. I just wanted to be done. I escaped to The Matrix movies. I thought with all this death, fraud, corruption, lies, fascism, and hate, that I'd fill my life with something light, inspirational, and peaceful...by watching 3 films about the total enslavement and annihilation of the human race.

No, there was no point to this. Just thought I would share it.:D

1. I plan to vote tomorrow before work...
.... then see "Borat" after work to completely avoid all this election madness. Then I'll re-commune with fellow DUers sometime late in the evening.

6. That's a good idea.
Not the "Borat" movie, but something like it would do the trick instead of pacing in circles and tearing my hair out. (By the way, have you read the Borat character's bio?) Funny.

3. i managed to attend a party with male parental unit and
not once did we argue politics. (A first)

surprisingly, we both agree on Illinois' gubernatorial race (the green candidate seems most trustworthy and won't be indicted) and on the need for the US House to turn D.
Even though he and Atilla share many views, he also strongly believes that one party rule is a recipe for disaster (See the last 6 yrs)

4. You're addicted to doom and gloom...
That's OK. We all are.

7. Actually I put it in for the cool slo-mo fight scenes.
I forgot that there was an actual story to it, and a very heavy one at that.
