Treason is usually an activity that only hurts the nation in the short term: a military campaign, a weapons system, etc.

Tampering with voting undermines the foundation of democracy.

Maybe if we had penalties that reflected its seriousness, then most of those who create phony rolls of voters, false ballots, inaccurate counts (including Diebold), or cause other irregularities would not dare to commit such a crime.

(Ten years to life!)

If I was a Deomcratic worker at a polling place and fellow Democrat falsified results, I would report him to the feds immediately. I hope most good republicans would do the same, seeing voting as central to our values (and not believing theat the end justifies th means).

I don't care what side creates the infraction. Tampering with the vote is as dangerous an activity as treason and should be seen as such, I think.

2. Penalties should be very harsh
25 yr minimum sentence to life. Of course, I would prefer death, but I hate cheaters and criminals so much, I might be a bit biased!

3. Deport them to Baghdad where they can see the blood it requires
to build a "democracy."

4. I'll bet this would be a great issue for the new congress. One which
many on both Dems and Republicans could get together on.

Wouldn't it be great to have fraud-proof elections within two years. No suppression. No manipulation. Machines accurate. And a ton of shitheads in jail.

5. What would it be like to go to the polls
and not have to worry whether or not your vote counted? Wow...what a concept!

6. Akin to, hell.
It flat-out IS treason.

Anyone caught should be tied to a post in the public square and executed.
