This is actually the way I drew it first...before I drew it the other way.

8. I originally drew it with two versions
This is one of my favorites. I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull off the above-and-below-the-water effect, but it turned out better than I had hoped.

In the first version I posted, the surfer was still facing out, stuck in the impact zone about to get hammered onto the Diebold reef.

I'm glad I saved both versions! Here is the first, posted a little over a week ago, when the fear of Diebold was drowning out my hope...
