because I was pissed to hear it. Time to email those fuckers. It should be exciting to have the first woman as leader. She is extremely capable. They must hate women.

2. I didn't hear him, but I'm not surprised. |
|
On another thread, whre everyone was all happy and excited to hear what he said about Rummy, I said that people need to understand that Jack is NOT a Dem by any stretch!
I don't hold it against Jack for saying Nancy was the downside. There are many times when I sure wish she spoke a lot better than she does, and yes I think there are a lot of Dems who would be a better Speaker of the House! And don't give me the crap about hating women. I am one!

3. I missed it but I do have an observation about Cafferty |
|
In some respects Cafferty is informed on the issues and doesn't buy into hype and talking points. Other times he just doesn't connect the dots. About a month ago he did a great rant about how the Consitution was being violated (by bush* admin & Congress as accessories to the crime) and how our country is in great peril. The following day he talks up LIEberman as being a terrific Senator and then Cafferty goes on to ask what does it say about the Democrats for wanting to oust him (I believe this was before LIEberman was defeated in the primaries).
I think that it is because Cafferty (I believe) is a conservative/republican that he feels as though he can't support any Dem that isn't labeled/viewed as a "moderate", and Dems who have been labeled Liberal he just can't believe that they have done good things for the US.
I'm happier than all get-out that he has had the integrity to speak out against the worst of the gop's policies & behavior. As for the other stuff he says that sounds like rw talking points, well, I shoot him off some letters and hope like hell that his eyes will open the rest of the way.

4. He's probably a misogynist. |
|
He would allow as how women have their place. But uppity ones like Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton really chap his hide.

5. Oh, it wasn't THAT bad... |

He was tossing Wolfie a little bone after his anti-GOP rant. Wolfie mentioned the possibility of Nancy running the show soon, and Jack kind of muttered "Well, there's a downside to everything." But it's not like he made a big point of it. Come on, people, Jack has been one of the relatively "good" guys. He was helping keep Wolfie from breaking down in tears live on camera, nothing more.
