Has anyone else noticed the spike in DU registrations?

I wasn't actually tracking it, but it seems we've had a surge in DU registrations in the past few days. Looks like approximately 500 just today.

DU Admins and Mods correct me if I'm wrong.

And I'm lovin' it. I'm from a very red state, Alabama, and the few blue people I know personally are from the north. Unfortunately, sometimes I feel like they talk down to us...like they assume we're "George Wallace" democrats. And we're not. There are plenty of us "southern natives" that support civil rights, gay rights, abortion rights, universal health care, and are against the war.

This has been a good place to voice an opinion without pre-existing assumptions.
