We bled inside each others wounds We all had caught the same disease
So raise the candles high

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz9sjMGUM9k

Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown

We were so close, there was no room
We bled inside each others wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace

Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown

So raise the candles high cause if you
Don't we could stay black against the night
Oh raise them higher again and if you
Do we could stay dry against the rain

Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown

We were so close, there was no room
We bled inside each others wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace
Some came to sing, some came to pray
Some came to keep the dark away

So raise the candles high
Cause if you don't we could stay
Black against the sky
Oh oh raise them higher again
And if you do we could stay dry against the rain

Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down, let it all down
Let your white birds smile up at the
Ones who stand and frown

Never Forget: George W. Bush willfully violated National Security to cover-up his willful launch of a war of aggression and illegal occupation of Iraq .... and, now he willfully provided nuke-making instructions to terrorists -- if you doubt it, just check 'the google' ....

5. A very powerful song
During the despair of the early seventies, when it seemed that Nixon and Washington would never listen to the voices of the citizens and that the madness of the Viet Nam war would go on indefinitely, this song gave us hope.

It still affects me when I hear it.

6. I heard John Dean say on Book Notes yesterday that the demonstrations in Washington really got Nixon
attention and that he took them into account when he made up his mind on things concerning the war.

7. And Bush's determination not to pay attention
will equally be his undoing.
