6. If the signs were in
private yards that's considered stealing. However tempting, it's not a cool thing to do. Why get yourself in trouble over Repuke signs...

7. Apparently, it's a felony, due to the large # of signs.
Vandalism?
Theft?

Probably something along those lines.

11. One of my FAVE quotes from a great Old Dem party chairman!
The Bullmoose would say, "signs don't vote!"

But I would still set 'em up and VIDEOTAPE the whole thing...

I placed a sign for my candidate for Lieutenant Governor on a main highway, the next day it was laying on the other side of the guard rail. The post was still standing, so I nailed it back up. I also put up a sign for Gail Buckner. Both remained standing for a week, during the weekend one disappeared and the other was torn off the post again! I put the sign that was torn down back up, and then put up a new sign for the Democrat running for Congress in my district. Just a few hours later they were both missing!

Then I put up a new sign for my candidate for Lieutenant Governor, it was missing after just a few more hours. All I had left was the sign in our front yard for Mark Taylor, but I was out of signs a week before the election. Last weekend, I placed brochures for my Congressional candidate on every mailbox in my neighborhood.

The key is having plenty of signs and being persistent. They want us to stop supporting Democrats and to stay home on election day. But sticking together and never giving up, despite the blows, is the only way we will make this a two party system again!

13. I was leaving the county Democratic HQ this evening...
...and on entering the second floor of a multi-level parking garage, I found over half a dozen signs for Sen. Bob Menendez lying against a pillar. I thought back to the people that had come in earlier asking for signs while our volunteers were busy assembling them and planning their placement.

Sensing mischief, I called the HQ as soon as I got home and let them know where I'd seen the signs, so someone could go and retrieve them.

SHEESH.

14. This morning the highway median was full of Dave Magnum yard signs
He's running against Tammy Baldwin, my D in the House. :headbang:

I think they are only supposed to be on private property, so I called the non-emergency police dispatch. After a bit of a sigh, they said they'd send somebody out. I went by about a half hour later and they were all gone.
:applause:

BTW, Dave's original last name was Weiss. He changed it to Magnum when he became a radio announcer. I wonder if he's compensating for something? There were an awful lot of signs!
