8. Actually had one in the mid '60's

They are not as easy to find now. My yard is very rough, and probably couldn't handle the tough grass. Live in the boonies.

3. My timing is almost perfect, I'm a few gallons from empty

and the price is down to $2.13. The only thing better would be if the price stayed down for another week or two. Gotta go check my polling place, it looks like they left the door unlocked.

I did a check of my local area's three-year history on gas prices and the trends around election days are unfortunately not the least bit surprising. Gas prices are one thing, but look at the price of crude (the blue line):



You can pick out the primary elections and general elections without glancing at the dates.
